Semijiang Semaiti was born in Xinjiang, China, in 1995. He holds a degree in Information Management and Information Systems from Beijing Foreign Studies University. During his university years, he became involved in street art, beginning his artistic practice through graffiti and street art before gradually expanding his research into contemporary art. After graduation, his professional experience in Beijing’s art sector further shaped his approach to artistic practice and research, leading him to experiment with new media as tools for artistic expression. His current practice focuses primarily on real-time digital installations, through which he explores the relationship between virtual environments and physical reality.

He lives and works in Milan, where he is currently pursuing an MFA-equivalent degree in Net Art and Digital Cultures at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.
